Eagle Crest Family Retreats - SUMMER 2021 ONLY!

New for Summer 2021 Only! Bring your family to camp this summer to experience an all-inclusive family retreat in our traditional camp setting.

What is a 'Family Retreat'?

While we are all disappointed that we cannot host our traditional Overnight Summer Camp Programming for 2021, we are excited to be able to offer families another option to enjoy camp this summer. For the upcoming summer only, camp will run as an 'all-inclusive' family retreat, for stays between June 30 - August 15th, 2021 (minimum 2-night stay, Friday-Sunday dates only for August). Guests will be able to enjoy some of their favourite camp activities, leave the cooking to us, while staying onsite in their own family cabin.

If you’ve ever enjoyed your family vacation at a campsite or campground, but also love the ‘all inclusive’ vacation experience, we have the perfect combination of both, for all of you! Our cabins may be rustic and your bathroom amenities a short walk away, but your ‘all-inclusive’ camp experience is sure to make your family vacation with us fun and active, relaxing, entertaining and memorable.

Check out everything you need and want to know about our Family Retreats in our 2021 Eagle Crest Family Retreats Visitor Guide and FAQ Page.

Cabins & Washroom Facilities

Cabins can house between 2-12 guests (guest capacities per cabin are based on one single bunk bed allocation per person). Each cabin comes equipped with a fan, mini-fridge (top freezer space) and keyed access door. There are a number of electrical outlets in each cabin but there is no heat or air conditioning. Guests must bring their own bed linens (to fit single bunk mattresses), towels and any other personal amenities required during their stay.

Each cabin will have an assigned outside space (close to their cabin) that will include a wooden picnic table. Guests are welcome to bring their own additional tables, chairs, sunshade tent (must be secured to ground), etc., to be able to enjoy their additional outside space.

Similar to what you would experience while vacationing at a campsite or campgrounds, our washroom facilities (with locking capabilities) are located throughout the property and shared amongst all the guests.

We have 5 lockable ‘individual’ washroom facilities with toilet, sink and shower within, plus an additional 5 lockable ‘family share’ washroom facilities with multiple toilets, sinks, and showers within. We don’t expect too many lineups waiting to use the facilities as we have 1 washroom facility available for every two cabins in the “family retreat” inventory. Washroom facilities are in close proximity to all cabins.

Dining/Meal Service

Each 'food and activity' plan includes 3 meals per day. On check-in day this includes dinner only and on check-out day this includes breakfast and lunch. All meals are prepared for you by our catering company, G.B Catering and include wholesome home-cooked menu items.

Our catering company caters to most food allergies and special dietary needs, the most common ones being vegetarian, vegan, lactose/dairy-free, gluten-free. All special dietary requests should be added to your booking confirmation - under Special Dietary Requests.

Based on Ontario Government’s Roadmap to Reopen Three-Step Plan, meals will be served in either our Outdoor Tent, Dining Lodge (Step 3) or Beach Cookout Area. Within all areas, each cabin/family will have their own table, spread out 2 meters from other families and tables.

A family-style daily menu will be the same for all guests, with the exception of special dietary requests. See sample menu

Programs & Activities

Our daily schedule was designed with flexibility in mind. All scheduled activities and programming is optional, giving families the ability to choose how they spend their days. With a large variety of program equipment available for sign-out, the options are endless and families can choose to participate in as much or as little activity as they'd like. All programs and activities will follow health and safety measures, including capacity restrictions and physical distancing.

With 1500 ft of beautiful shoreline, two sandy beaches, one designated swimming zone, and over 80 acres of forested land, everyone is bound to find an area to relax and explore.

Guest Health & Safety

The health and safety of our guests are our top priority. In addition to our standard health and safety practices and based on the Ontario Government’s Roadmap to Reopen Three-Step Plan, we will be adjusting on-site public health measures to comply with the current Reopening Step in the plan as the summer progresses. Guests will be made aware of all measures enforced on-site based on the Reopening Step enforced at time of check-in. Measures may include indoor capacities, physical distancing guidelines, outdoor gathering size and masking procedures.

  • Pre-Arrival Health Screening - all guests must submit an online COVID-19 screening tool in advance of their arrival, in order to ensure everyone's safety.
  • Family Cohorting / Physical Distancing - all families and guests will be required to follow all physical distancing measures.
  • Masks - all guests will be required to follow all masking procedures when in indoor spaces on property. Exceptions include when; in your own cabin, showering/brushing your teeth, seated at a table in the Dining Lodge for mealtimes.
  • Enhanced Cleaning & Disinfection - an in-depth cleaning & disinfection of all cabins will occur in between stays, as well as increased disinfection of common touch surfaces throughout the facility, and disinfection of program equipment between users.
  • Outdoor Dining Options - our mealtime options have been modified to accommodate safe family dining, including; spacious individual family tables in our indoor Dining Lodge, outdoor dining at our Beach Cookout and picnic tables for each family cabin.
