The Ideal Camper for this Program

Any boy or girl who lives or cottages locally and is looking for an alternative to daycare. They should also be excited to experience fun, safe water- and land-based activities.

Program Features

South River Day Camp is a recreation program run by the Village of South River and hosted on the beautiful grounds of Hockey Opportunity Camp. Operating Monday to Friday for 8 weeks in July and August, this program welcomes children ages 5–13 for a fun, active, and engaging summer experience.

Campers enjoy FREE transportation along a designated route with multiple pickup and drop-off points in South River and Sundridge. The bus arrives at camp at 8:45 am and departs at 3:45 pm daily. Campers must bring their own packed lunch each day.

Throughout the week, children participate in a variety of exciting, age-appropriate activities led by qualified Day Camp instructors. Daily swimming is included through the Lifesaving Society’s Swim for Life Program, giving campers the opportunity to learn water safety skills and work toward badge levels in a fun, supportive environment.

Please note that HOC does not handle registrations. For registration information, please contact the South River Village Office at 705-386-2573.
