As you may have heard and seen today, Ontario Premier Doug Ford made a comment on the news that indicated that summer camps would be allowed to open this summer.
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not know the parameters surrounding his comment, as we have yet to receive any safe re-opening guidance from the Ontario Ministry of Health and any confirmation of opening from our local health unit (North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit).
Premier Ford’s message today has come as a surprise to us, so, we are asking our camp community at this time to give us an opportunity to understand (with the support of the Ontario Camps Association Covid-19 Task Force) the full impact of his statement for Overnight Summer Camps in Ontario and specifically for Hockey Opportunity Camp.
