The Lifesaving Society is a charitable organization working to prevent drowning and water-related injury through our training programs, Water Smart® public education, safety management services, drowning prevention research and lifesaving sport.

The Lifesaving Society establishes aquatic safety standards and consults on aquatic safety issues for the aquatic industry, governments and the judiciary. The Society offers a suite of services to help aquatic facility operators maintain and improve safe pool and waterfront operations.

Hockey Opportunity Camp works closely with the Lifesaving Society offering life saving training to all LIT & CIT candidates. In each program we offer Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross including Emergency First Aid. HOC employs experienced and qualified water safety instructors though the Lifesaving Society to run all waterfront instructional programs.

Hockey Opportunity Camp also encourages each staff to increase and maintain their water certification. National Lifeguard - Pool / Waterfront is the desired waterfront certification for our waterfront program staff.
