The Head of Waterfront works cooperatively as a member of the HOC Senior Staff team and as the leading lifeguard/swim instructor. In order to strive to maintain a safe and secure waterfront, HOC will staff the waterfront each day with the same qualified NLS Lifeguards in order to provide uninhibited free swim time for each section. The Head of Waterfront will be responsible for working alongside and supervising the Lifeguards to ensure the safe and secure operation of HOC's Waterfront, including the new Aquaglide floating challenge track. Together, they will provide daily lifeguarded free swims for all sections and instruct and supervise HOC's LIT and CIT instructional swim periods. When required, the Head of Waterfront will work as a waterfront activity instructor as well. The Head of Waterfront will assist the Program Director with the overall management of waterfront activities/activity staff, including oral & written staff evaluations and assisting the Program Director with camper evaluations. The Head of Waterfront is also responsible for the overall identification and management of risk within all of HOC's waterfront programs and facilitation of all waterfront Emergency Response Team training practices.
