Hockey Opportunity Camp

Program Outline

The program is based on a two week* session designed for candidates aged 14/15 who have completed at least grade nine. The first week, LITs will be involved as campers in our Senior Camp Program, enjoying all the features and privileges HOC has to offer. This will include full hockey instruction (if interested) and camp activities each day.

During the second week, LIT candidates make the distinct transition from camper to leader. They are housed in separate cabins from Senior campers and their focus shifts from activity participation to activity leadership. The week consists of in-class leadership sessions, activity assists, practical teaching instruction, journal writing, staff observation assignments and an overnight camp out.

* LIT Candidates have the option of just attending the one week LIT session.
