Hockey Opportunity Camp

Camp Facilities and Setting

Located in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands, Hockey Opportunity Camp's setting provides a panoramic view of Eagle Lake and its many islands. Our peninsula is not only one of our most prominent features but it also provides a natural shelter for our busy waterfront.

The main lodge serves as our social centre and dining room. Meals are prepared by a professional caterer whose specialty is the camping industry. Meals are served family style and are all you can eat! Our chef prepares well-balanced meals as well as fresh baked breads and desserts (baked on-site), fruit and milk. Given the intense activity levels of our campers, meals are of high nutritional value.

Two large recreation halls ensure that programming continues indoors when the weather is inclement.

Cabins
Campers live in cabins of varying size, usually 8-10 campers per cabin. Each cabin is supervised by a counsellor who lives/sleeps in a separate room within the cabin. Female and male cabins are located at separate ends of the camp. Large restrooms with flush toilets, hot and cold running water and showers are located adjacent to the cabins.

Senior Camp
Senior Camp is a separate facility designed specifically for our older campers. This private setting is equipped with a weight training room, beach volleyball court and large indoor basketball court. All programs and facilities, including the Hockey Program, are designed to provide a challenging experience for our Senior Campers.
